Ric Flo is one third of the hip-hop collective Jungle Brown (Mr Bongo). His new solo single, ‘Revolt’ marks a new beginning, as he continues to push his solo career with pensive, hard hitting personal stories. Growing up in foster care, the creative arts became a therapeutic medium of introspection and self-expression. In this new chapter, Ric wants to continue to inspire his community but also connect to the masses in a new way.
Enlisting the help of UK hip-hop heavyweight producer, The Last Skeptik, Ric Flo flexes his lyrical ability and shows us a different side to his BBC Introducing single ‘Do You’. Rightfully opening to the chorus of Nina Simone’s hit single from the 60s – ‘Feeling Good’, Ric quickly shifts up a gear to let us know why this is just the beginning of more to come, where his energy and cadence matches the dramatic build in the production
