trapped magazine

Following on from Che Lingo short introspective poetic piece titled, Typical. He turns his attentions to a more serious topic which is a lot closer to home for him, and something which is becoming a problem in London. Having loss someone close to him as a result of a stabbing, Che’s deep melodic voice matches nicely against the downtempo hip hop style production.

Check out the video to BADMAN below:

Wanting his lyrics to be felt and acknowledged, Che left the lyrics in his information section:

Everybody wanna be a Badman with a gun,
but not pow like lethal b the man with the song,
I mean pow like lethal now they’re standing in blood,
Like pow pow but them powers ain’t tangible cuz,

Wrong territory man’ll go ape with the silver on your back like the streets ain’t savage enough,

No cap,

I never take my cap off at funerals coz the tears stream loads like a rapper that buss

They couldn’t fathom the potential on the back of that bus,

5 years later now they’re tagging him up,

They put a price on his head,
But that’s devaluing us,

Another king in the grave,
Another family crushed,
Another bias article bout how the capitals fucked,
Another hospital visit another catheter pump,

They say we’re hurting ourselves,
And that the damage is done,
That’s why I work for my wealth,
So I can pack and be gone,

Yeah…

Yo as dark as it sounds I wish death was like a practical joke and couple bruddas did jack-in-the-box,

Yeah,

Popping up back in the blocks,
Sliders and a zoot and some casual socks,
Holding a Rubicon mango in his hand with a bop,
Wishing I could turn back the clock to before,

Everybody wanna be a Badman with a gun,
but not pow like lethal b the man with the song,
I mean pow like lethal now they’re standing in blood,
like pow pow but then powers ain’t tangible cuz…
